I noticed that with stripe you have the option of paying only by credit card, but in northern European countries Klarna has taken over and most people use it. it might be time to think about integrating it so as not to be left behind

For anyone looking to do this (give the possibility for customers to pay in 3 monthly installments for the one off item), we still don't have out of the box solution but one possible workaround could be:

create membership product (so it doesn't create orders all the time)
set it to renew/rebill customers each month
make sure that you're collecting the billing address (there is a toggle for it on Settings > Advanced)
create an automation that will create the order for the customer after every Nth (3rd) payment so you get to deliver the product after the 3rd payment

Optionally, if this is a one time offer (and not recurring subscription), another automation needs to be set so it cancels the membership subscription after the Nth payment.

hello - for my items that are one time purchases, I'd like for buyers to be able to break that purchase up into smaller payments. Places like Klarna and other do this.
