''Local pick up option'' excluding shipping fee available on the checkout
complete

I have a lot of local customers and I don't want to charge them shipping. I have local businesses in the surrounding 3 cities that would like to be pick up locations for my customers, to bring more people into their store. My website with WordPress allowed me to have a "local pick up" option and they didn't pay shipping. This would be a huge plus for me as a new subscription box, as my customers already expect local pick up. Having to go into Stripe to issue refunds for every local person is going to be a pain as a business owner trying to be efficient in this venture. Please consider it!!!

Andy馃: Hi Andy, any ETA on this feature? Its really crucial for smaller, niche boxes!

Definitely would be a great option to have.

Any updates on this enhancement request? I thought about using a free shipping coupon for local customers. The challenge is that you can鈥檛 stack coupons so the customer couldn鈥檛 use another coupon in conjunction with a free shipping coupon.

I currently operate strictly with local pick-ups as I am using a produce box. This would be amazing! Luckily I can make my shipping free, so i dont have to worry about refunds, but creating separate products for different pickup locations is a hastle; it also confuses the subscriber when they sign up since it asks where to ship too.
Thanks,
Tarek

Tarek Bos-jabbar: Hey Tarek, you won't need to create different products for different pickup options. You can add a survey question with available pickup option to the checkout so they can answer.
However, this still doesn't solve the problem with the ''shipping address'' field -/-

Andrija Krstic: hey thanks for the reply. The issue with this is that when the orders come in i hace to open each persons account to view what day/pick up location they are at. This is ok to start, but doesnt scale well.

Tarek Bos-jabbar: Yes, this is true. We are already working on a more detailed CSV order export which will include the customer's preferences as well.
Tarek Bos-jabbar
Andrija Krstic: Oh yeah, that would work great! Looking forward to that release.

Tarek Bos-jabbar: I'm having this same problem. Looks like the resolution has been in the queue since 2018? I put our csa produce box pick up locations in as a question, and I also put add-ons to the survey, but there's no way to export these answers to a sheet for pick and pack lists.. so I have to go in and manually review every order that comes in every week to see if they changed their subscription preferences for quantities of eggs, butter, bread, delivery, etc. I can work with more local farms to get food access to people in crisis right now, but I would make so many mistakes that I can't afford to open up more subscriptions. Bummer that this information isn't readable and workable. I tried linking to zapier, shipstation, and Subbly's Automations, and none of it reads the survey answers. Did you ever find a way to scale without a feature for this?

Local Delivery

I have a number of local customers that are within 5mins driving distance of my location. I would like to be able to allow them to request local delivery meaning no charge for them. It鈥檚 pointless posting an order to a customer less than 3miles away, when the box would travel 15miles to the sorting office, 15miles back then the mileage from the delivery office to the customer. That isn鈥檛 an eco friendly option.
All it would take is a shipping rule so that if a postcode falls between say cf39
-cf42
the customer is given the local delivery option.Randi Hewit
Yes! This would great! We currently offer a $5 coupon to anyone who picks up in-store. But this would be better!
