Klaviyo Integration Improvement

The integration doesn't actually work. After trying to set up the Klaviyo integration, I contacted their customer support. This is what I heard back: Looking at this profile, the information is being stored in the API event, however it hasn't been linked to any profile properties for the customer, thus it isn't in a usable format when it comes to segmentation etc.
It appears that Subbly just adds profiles to a list along with some custom properties, I would recommend to reach out the Subbly support to see if it is something they can support to link the information being passed through directly into a profile property. Please see our guide to syncing profile properties through an integration. Please also see our guide on Profile Property Action Use Cases.

The v2 Klaviyo integration is live.
Feel free to go to App store and change the version.
The new version is enriched with all subscription events data and metrics making it easy for you to build custom flows and track their performance.

Meanwhile I'm checking on how complicated it would be to update the integraton, could you guys please share main benefits of using Klaviyo or whatever 3rd party integration compared to default Subbly email notifications/automations?
A
Alex Wilkinson
Andy🤠: Klaviyo allows newsletter style emails, as well as automations for things such as pop-up sign-up forms. It means that we can offer a discount, and then have a flow created that helps to promote that discount. There are a few other benefits as well :)
Andy🤠
Alex Wilkinson: Yeah, I see. Have you considered using automations for that, especially now when we introduced the html template editor?

Alex Wilkinson
Andy🤠: Unfortunately there is no automation that triggers when people sign up to a newsletter. This is a big one for me, as well as not being able to send a regular newsletter that isn't necessarily triggered by any particular action.

Yeah I've reached out to support for the same reason. I'm actually switching from Klaviyo because this is becoming a huge chore.

I’ve advised subbly support of this many times. They encourage you to use zapier triggers for klaviyo. My thought, why do I need a 3rd party integration for my 3rd party integration? Wasting more money than what I have to (e.g. having to pay for Zapier services as well). Like why offer have a “half assed” integration? Either offer it fully functional or don’t offer it at all.
