A "choose price/duration/frequency" step on checkout for subscription products
complete
Stefan Pretty
The ability to have multiple pricing plans/options for each subscription product to be shown as a step on the checkout process. This would prevent having to make multiple products for different pricing options. Would also put the pricing decision to later step once the customer has committed more to the purchase.

Hi Stefan Pretty. Great to see this has been launched. One part of our survey includes a cash value per month (aka level up your box from 3 to 5 items per month). If we include a bi-annual payment option, it still only charges an extra £9.95 (even though with my understanding the +£9.95 was being charged each month, so on a 6 month plan should be charged at just under £60).
Is there any way to implement this with the survey without hundreds of payment plan options to choose from? Sorry if I'm not explaining it right, let me know!
Stefan Pretty
Peter Donoghue: good point... price modifiers from survey would only apply per payment not per shipment. It’s something that’s near impossible for us to determine now that we have so many combinations possible for billing and shipping. I’d for now just make individual products with individual prices. Complexity always increases as we add new features this is one we didn’t even think of

Stefan Pretty: Hey Stefan. Appreciate the honest feedback, a “per shipment” checkbox/dropdown in the survey section would be the best way implementation wise. Hopefully the product re-engineering doesn’t goof things up!
Stefan Pretty
Peter Donoghue: the issue is in some cases we can’t 100% accurately predict number of shipments. E.g weekly into monthly billing, it’s not always 4 it can be 5 as well

Stefan Pretty: great point! I’d maybe exclude that for now 😂😂 honestly amazing release otherwise, great stuff 👍🏻
Stefan Pretty
Peter Donoghue: appreciate the kind feedback! We’ll figure this out.

Stefan Pretty: Perfect! If you need a hand with anything I’d love to help and provide some feedback 👍🏻
Stefan Pretty
Peter Donoghue: I think we have come up with a relatively graceful solution. Implementing and will roll out soon 🤘

Stefan Pretty: Yuss, amazing news!
Stefan Pretty
Peter Donoghue: what do you think of this?

Stefan Pretty: yes!! Makes so much sense
Stefan Pretty
Peter Donoghue: Please check it out, we've put a setting live on the survey settings page.

Stefan Pretty: This is great!! Using it now, cheers!

This has now been done, along with a complete re-engineer of the product creation and editing process.

Let Customers Choose Frequency
Patter Gersuk
During the first time that they purchase a subscription box, provide the customer with a drop-down to select frequency; e.g. weekly, bi-weekly, Monthly.
Currently I've created 3 different subscription Products to handle this but it's less straight-forward from a Customer Experience standpoint.

Product Variants

Allow variations of same product within listing E.g. size/quantity - no need to have multiple listings just for specifying different quantity amounts.

Hey Henri Cammiade, we already have this feature opened and request created. I will merge this one and add your vote.

Would anyone be against us doing this as a "collection" of products which is effectively a group? This combined with a "duplicate" product function to save time.
This would then be presented to the customer as the first step or 1 "product" which then opens up into multiple pricing options for that product.
Also this would allow for some extra control to have collections of similar products for the store (one-time products).
Open to opinions on this
Thanks,
Stefan
P.s. I realise this isn't exactly as described in the original post, but we're trying to come up with clever solutions which we can implement in a shorter period of time

Stefan Pretty: This would work great with the kind of subscription I have where not only do I have different sizes but also different variations(styles) within each size.
