Add Upsell (Funnel) items and used coupons to ShipStation Packing Slips

As the title suggests, the current system means i don't necessarily know which person has purchased an upsell, this is a bit of a problem as we dont want to miss it off. I use packing slips to ensure the order is correct. See the 1st attachment of an ideal packing slip. It contains all the items the customer has purchased AND if they have used a coupon. Then see attached the 2nd image, from Subbly, this person ordered both additional products from Upsell and used a code for a free gift, yet nothing has been displayed. Please can this be worked on as it's incredibly difficult to ensure the customers orders are packed correctly!

Yes, yes, yes! I offer a free item with my six month and annual subs and combining those with gift messages and coupons to try and get ending subs to renew-it’s a major time-suck.

Yes, I am having big problems with this too. Any after-purchase upsell items show up separately and are very difficult to keep track of when putting the orders together.

Shonna Lemke: What are you currently doing to try to keep track? We have just recently added upsell to our subscription and we're not sure what we can do to make sure the customers get their added products in their orders. Would love to know what you're doing to work it out!

Amarn Gulamhusein: Just having to keep track manually and it's a pain. My sales are not so many that it's impossible, but as they grow I know this will get to be more than just a pain! I generally output a .csv of all orders that need to be filled, then sort by name or address, make a note of ones that have multiple "orders" then just make sure their package gets all of the items.

Shonna Lemke: Oh thats a huge pain, thats pretty much what we're doing too. However, some good news is that i might have figured out a way round it.
I noticed that if you firstly create an item on "Inventory" this will give you a SKU, right?
So what you can do is, go over to "Products" then "One-Time" This is where you make your up sell, so the idea is, when you're making the title, image, description etc of your upsell, you scroll down a little bit and hit the inventory button, then click it and assign the SKU you made in inventory.
This in theory should mean that if your customer purchases the upsell, the packing slip will show the item(s) with SKUs attached.
For example i sell pyjamas, so for each size i have made a unique SKU, and for each upsell i have too. So if a customer signed up, for me, the packing slip will show me both their size due to the unique SKU plus their upsell.
The key is the label the SKU with the name of the item so you dont get confused.
I hope this helps and if you want more info or a better explanation you can email me amarn@jarmabox.co.uk
