For Canadian businesses we have to charge HST, or GST + PST, or GST + QST depending on the province. (see this chart for reference: https://www.retailcouncil.org/resources/quick-facts/sales-tax-rates-by-province/#:~:text=There%20are%20three%20types%20of,for%20each%20province%20and%20territory.)
At tax time, we need to provide to the government a breakdown of the taxes we've collected in each of these categories. Currently in Subbly all of it is lumped into one main category called "Tax" although the percentage charged varies according to province, so it's not transparent at all. Normally when you go to stores in Canada, your bill will show the subtotal and then the taxes by category. E.g.:
Subtotal: $###
GST: $##
PST: $##
TOTAL: $####
Please can you break it down in a similar manner so it's easier for customers and sellers to see. This is also crucial for business owners doing their taxes. Currently I'm having to do the calculations manually based on customers' provinces, which is very time consuming.
