Require full term commitment on gifts
Lindsey Eder
I have subscriptions set up as term commitments (customer must commit to a full 6 or 12 month period before canceling in order to pay a discounted month-to-month price). I would like to promote this now for people to buy for Christmas gifts for loved ones. However, if I turn on the gifting option for my 6 or 12 month plans (which is what I want them to go for), they have the ability to set how many boxes they send. So they may choose to only send one box as a gift and then they get a single box at the incorrect price (the pricing for term commitments are exclusively for people who commit to the full term). But if I don't turn on the gifting option, if they purchase now, the box will automatically ship now and they won't have the option of the gift not starting until December.

I have the same issue and would like to see this addressed.

Requiring full term commitment periods to gifts will also help because right now, if a customer cancels before the commitment period, it is causing us to potentially lose money if they haven't turned into a profitable customer due to receiving offers, discounts, etc. at the start of their subscription.

Hi Lindsey Eder. The thing is that even selecting 12 months gift, they still will be able to cancel the subscription at any point. The commitment period feature does not apply to the gifted subscriptions.
However, we are currently working on gift vouchers feature, so you will be able to offer them to your customers:–) ETA is beginning of December.

Andy🤠: yes that is what I want changed. I am requesting that gifted subscriptions that select a 12 month term commitment subscription be required to stay on the full 12 months just like a subscription that’s not a gift.
Vouchers are cool too! But I am still requesting this change because it’s different. 🙏
