It would be great to be able to have gift subscription orders capture the gift recipients email address so that gift messages are sent to the gift recipient by email once their order has been shipped

Hi all, we created the improvement now where you can collect email and name from the gift recipient. There is an optional flag for it on Settings > Advanced (2 additional flags). 
Also, we've added 2 new email templates for the Order Shipped and Order Created if it's the gift subscription.

I definitely think this should be a feature, and optional. e.g. the gifter has the ability to send via email, on a specific date, or not. Also to ship to the giftee or the gifter. There are lots of potentials with the gifting that would need accounted for.
