Set Shipment Date on One-Time Products

I have certain one time purchases that ship on a designated date. For example, a Christmas product that they can preorder, but it all ships on a future date. I can change the language to say when it ships on the description, but the order automatically generates to ship now. I don't want to have to go in and manually change all of the shipping dates for one-time purchases, but be able to set that up when I create the product.

Furthermore, I think it would be nice to have the option to get multiple shipments for a single One-Time product (such as gifted, time limited subscriptions). That would avoid us to create specific rules that cancel subscriptions as soon as they are created (but still send cancellation notice to customers).

Could you set these products up as a pre-order? That way it will charge the customer and show up in your orders only after the date you designate?
