12 month membership that can be paid for monthly/quarterly

You currently allow for a 12 month membership if it is paid for annually but allow a 12 month membership that can be paid for monthly/quarterly but renews every 12 months. (Commitment cycles don't work for this as they end after the initial commitment period and don't renew the commitment).
for clients with an option to pay monthly but then renew for another 12 months when this expires.

For anyone looking to do this (give the possibility for customers to pay in 3 monthly installments for the one off item), we still don't have out of the box solution but one possible workaround could be:
- create membership product (so it doesn't create orders all the time)
- set it to renew/rebill customers each month
- make sure that you're collecting the billing address (there is a toggle for it on Settings > Advanced)
- create an automation that will create the order for the customer after every Nth (3rd) payment so you get to deliver the product after the 3rd payment
Optionally, if this is a one time offer (and not recurring subscription), another automation needs to be set so it cancels the membership subscription after the Nth payment.

Pay in 3 options

Would love a pay in 3 options whether that be Klarna or Clearpay etc for our bigger more expensive one off items. We have an advent calendar that’s £180 and as a one off payment this puts a lot of people off and we’ve been asked so many times if people can split this into 3x60 which is a lot more manageable.

Spread Payments for quarterly and bi monthly subscriptions
Peter Biggenden
As a box which is over £35 we have been hearing from customers who would prefer to spread the cost of any quarterly or bi monthly subscriptions so that it doesn't seem like such a big chunk.
Example
Customer purchases quarterly Subscription at £39 and wishes to spread the cost over the 3 months at £13 per month

Oh yes! This is what I'm hoping for.

Billing more frequently than shipping
Stefan Pretty
The ability to ship every Nth payment. This would allow spreading the cost.
The issue is if a user cancels between shipments then there will be petially paid orders. Also if the shipment is sent immediately then there will need to be a larger upfront fee. Otherwise same issue exists except customer could cancel with partially paid order but having received the order. Any suggestions on a simple implementation without over complicating things would be appreciated!
