Survey questions on one-time products

I cant believe this feature was not even considered. I do not want to be using inferior third party workarounds for this problem. Survey questions should be available for single products as well as subscriptions and it should be a priority to get this implemented

I really need this feature. I'll leave this comment here but since it was requested almost 2 years ago I don't have a lot of hope that it will be actioned.
I don't like using the automation to cancel a subscription. It's a HACK.
I like variations, but they aren't available for subscriptions.
The result is that there are two different checkout flows for the same product, depending on whether the customer chooses to subscribe or make a one time purchase.
Aside from being quite poor and confusing from a user-journey perspective, it's extra administration for me to have to maintain and update pricing in a different way.
Furthermore during the checkout the customer can see that although they've selected one-time, it shows wording relating to a subscription. Which is something they specifically chose not to do. I fully expect to lose customers at the checkout with this work around.
As Kat Pritchett pointed out, it's going to screw up the subscription statistics as well. I was going to try it out until I read this comment - now I realise it's completely unusable.
Finally, I'm sure there are other issues, but the cancellation of subscription email within automations is missing {{ product.name }}. An additional hacky workaround is to turn off the email, and create an automation with sends for all cancellations EXCEPT the one-time-purchase-auto-cancellation-products.....except when I do that I can no longer specify in the email which product the customer has cancelled.
Guys - I'm really surprised that this hasn't been implemented already.
NEEDED ASAP. Agree completely with Kat's points.
Kat Pritchett if you are still a customer, can you let me know what you've done, if anything, to minimise the problem caused by the the oversight of this feature? Thank you
Kat Pritchett
Since moving my whole website to Subbly, I need this now more than ever! I am using the workaround of setting up as a sub product and using automation for the cancellation, but there are still problems with this method.
Checkout is confusing as looks like it's going to renew (even though I've added NO RENEWAL to the name, I've still had someone question this)
The checkout confirmation email populates the wording relating to a subscription product, which is incorrect.
Customer data is passed to mailerlite incorrectly indicating they have a sub product with me, which in turn triggers my subscription related emails, which are not relevant to the one-time purchaser
And this also messes with my churn figures as I have 'subs' cancelling, which weren't subs in the first place.

A new issue has cropped up today. After the automation cancelled the subscription, a customer inadvertently reactivated the subscription and a month later has been charged again. The workaround really isn'ta good solution... :(

YES- we also REALLY need the survey questions for our one-time products. Any chance this can be added soon??

I would like to have the survey option for one-time purchases. I know Subbly is a subscription first platform, but we need more business model options/flexibility given the potential negative impact of the economy on individual discretionary income. Thanks.

YES PLEASE! Because I'd like to basically have a build-a-box capability for special one-time boxes, in which the price would vary based on which items they selected. Right now it's completely impractical with variants, as I have to manually input every price for every possible combination of items rather than inputting the price for each item and having the combinations added up automatically. I have not done certain boxes I had planned because this is so frustrating.

Hey Kat Pritchett. Can you ellaborate more on this? Like why would you need it and what's the difference with variants?
Tom Tryon
Andy🤠: We use surveys on subscription products to capture other information like further contact details, preferences, personalisations - I often find we need to capture the same information for one-time products too

Andy🤠: It would be helpful for customizations. I have a discovery box one time product and it would be great to ask survey questions to help customize what’s included in the box.
Kat Pritchett
Andy🤠: The variations feature is really good but if you have more than a couple of variations (e.g. size/colour) it's really long winded to set up. I would have t-shirt size (5 options), horse size (5 options), add socks (4 options) etc.... The number of combinations for this would be huge and working out the price for each is pretty time consuming, whereas the survey is quick to set up and I don't need to work out cost for each combination. Also, to be able to capture info in a text field such as horse's name/recipients name for personalisation of products would be great. Hope this makes sense!
Andy🤠
Tom Tryon: Hey Tom, what's wrong with contact details you get on shipping details step? What exact details do you collect?
Tom Tryon
Andy🤠: One example would be a gift recipient's email address for a gift certificate product. At the moment there's no way of collecting that with a one-time product
Andy🤠
Kat Pritchett: Hey Kat, can you elaborate more on why variants don't fit your setup? You can have the same price for variants, without changing it for each other
Andy🤠
Tom Tryon: So it's more like you need the gift vouchers, than the survey for one-time products,
Kat Pritchett
Andy🤠: I've just mocked up a test one-time product using variants - I've got 54 combinations so far, each wanting a price individually adding to them. It would take me a very long time to work out the price for each combination. This also doesn't actually cover everything as I need 5 options, not the 3, so the 54 combinations is much smaller than it would be if I could add the extra two options. Survey would also allow me to ask for the recipients name, in order to add this to a personalised item I would like to include
